About this artwork
The watercolor presents a poetic image of the medieval city in the heart of Sabina. Around Rome and in all the provinces of Lazio there are numerous magical places where time seems to have stopped. The author shows a gentle landscape of hills, mountains and above all one of the medieval jewels of Sabina - Poggio Mirteto, choosing the moment of sunset with soft colors. The chosen technique is characterized by a very defined architectural design, at… the same time the author freely transforms the city making it imaginative but recognizable. The author offers dreamy tones, the image of the city evokes the stories and fairy tales of the Middle Ages full of pathos. The work has a narrative character and allows the viewer to imagine the events that took place over the centuries of which we can still perceive the echoes.
« I would like to convey my perception of wonderment in a way that is recognizable and perceptible to others. »
