About this artwork
In this work, I have captured a mysterious, almost nostalgic atmosphere using acrylics, collage, and gold leaf. The moving contrasts between texture and softness speak of memories and hidden stories. It brings a calm, contemplative energy to the room and invites one to delve deeply into their own feelings. Each layer reveals new facets and leaves room for personal interpretation.

Elfie Marijanovic, born in Trossingen in 1952, only turned to painting in 2003. She cleverly experiments with combining different materials: coffee meets plaster, and filler meets stone dust and canvas. Her expressiveness is conveyed in vibrant compositions of colors, pigments, and collage. Marijanovic's art expresses an energy that arises from the joy of experimentation, resulting in an almost tangible vitality in her works. She teaches "Painting + Matter" at the adult education centers in Haar, Fürstenfeldbruck, and Maisach, as well as at the KunstRaum Heimstetten art school. She participates in numerous exhibitions and art markets in the Munich area every year.
