About this artwork
In my painting, I wanted to highlight the rugged beauty and resilience of cacti, which thrive in harsh conditions. Using vibrant, comic-style acrylics and a touch of primitivism, I capture a playful yet profound depiction of these prickly survivors. This work is intended to evoke a sense of joy and resilience in the viewer, ideal for enlivening any space with energy and a touch of humor.
Elisabeth Ortner, a background painter, works mainly with acrylic on canvas. She uses techniques of sketching on everyday materials, projects the sketches onto the screen and lets them come to life. Her artistic styles reflect a preference for clear shapes and bright colors. Through her lively creations, she strives to spread happiness and good humor.
