Blaze is an arresting abstract painting featuring shades of gold, pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, brown and white.
The background is comprised of soft dreamy layers in neutral and pastel tones which errupt into joyful vibrant tones, blooming across the canvas in vibrant splashes of colour: giving Blaze an invigorating, lively and vibrant feeling. Through the inclusion of interference paint parts of the canvas are illuminated further by… the light source giving off a glow or metallic sheen, seeming to dance in the light and coming to life through the perception of the viewer. Elizabeth Förster is a British born artist based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom. In creating contemporary abstract paintings, her art investigates the sorts of spaces that painting occupies and how we engage with them.
