About this artwork
How often do you grab a glass not looking at it? It seems that each of us sometimes comes into the kitchen with a phone in hand or turning on a laptop / TV at the entrance. And then virtual reality takes away almost all the attention, and we automatically take a glass without looking (or what is called "having one eye on it"), drink with eyes stuck in our favorite TV series / show / content. Have you ever noticed that? Is there any water in the glass?… Are you sure?
This painting is a part of audiovisual project, and can be purchased with 2 others as a triptych. When purchasing 1 glasses will be included, when purchasing as a triptych 3 glasses and sound design on a flash card will be included.
P.S. You can see the stereoscopic 3D effect through the anaglyph glasses but only live. Glasses are included in the price.
P.P.S. The sound design is made entirely from sounds of three objects from the kitchen (knife, glass and spoon).
Ellaya Yefymova is a painter with a rich background, blending her education in both art and medicine from Ukraine. She employs oil paints and draws on the techniques of old masters, merging dark art with surrealism to create powerful, direct imagery inspired by vanitas. Her work, deeply rooted in existentialist philosophy, evokes a profound contemplation of mortality while ultimately inspiring viewers to cherish life more consciously and authentically.
