About this artwork
This work is inspired by the quiet moment where the sea meets the shore — not as a fixed place, but as a feeling that stays with me. I’m drawn to that soft movement, where the water arrives and dissolves at the same time.
Built through layers of acrylic, charcoal, and inks, the surface develops gradually, allowing traces to appear and fade. I work in a way that lets the image emerge slowly, rather than defining it from the beginning.
The composition… shifts between calm and motion, like a memory that isn’t completely clear. The wave is present, but gentle — more like a trace than a statement.
For me, the sea is a space of stillness and reflection. This piece sits somewhere in between the real and the abstract, capturing a moment that feels familiar, yet hard to hold onto.
« Painting is for me one of the ways that can allow anyone to see with his mind what cannot be seen with eyes, to expect the unexpected, to feel alive. »
