About this artwork
The members of the former "Kassel Artists Circle" work together for exhibitions and in discussions and together create something that they would not do individually in this form.
In my work I combine oil and tempera to create a profound interaction between realism and surrealism. The painting depicts a mosaic of human faces, emblematic of the complexity of the human experience. Each fragment reflects different emotions and personalities that together… form a unity, but also emphasize the individuality of each individual. This composition challenges viewers to explore the diversity and interconnectedness of humanity.
"The artist Elmar J Kuhnert works both as a painter and digitally, adept in multiple media. Using the technique of fuguenomics, he finds his individual expressiveness; he firmly believes that the whole is more than its individual parts. His works convey the emotions of an idealistic pragmatism and the interaction of part and whole."
