About this artwork
With Geologia V, the artist engages in a visual excavation, treating the canvas like a section of the Earth's crust or a constantly evolving rock face. The title suggests a study of time: we are not looking at a static form, but the result of pressures, sedimentations, and emotional fractures.
The architectural structure of the "Dwelling," a central theme in the artist's poetics, here merges with the mineral material. The green and blue brushstrokes… are no longer just colors, but become veins of jade, oxidations, and layers of crystallized time. The decomposition of forms recalls tectonic force, where the solidity of the house is tested by the fluidity of the paint, creating a precarious yet magnetic balance between what is man-made and what is generated by nature.
