About this artwork
In inMEnTE, I work on the relationship between body and thought. The drips of paint follow the lines of the figure, becoming internal flows, emotional trajectories that intertwine and overlap. The image arises from deep listening: it is the form a thought takes when it manifests, when it emerges from the mind and finds space on the canvas.
The title inMEnTE deliberately recalls the word MINTE, but also GOALS, directions, objectives, and the points… toward which we move. Our GOALS, whether conscious or hidden, reside within the mind, and the work attempts to visualize this intertwining: the mental and physical journey, the body seeking direction and the thought that guides it.
The body becomes a map, a memory, a movement.
Every casting is a risk—I never know where it will stop—but it is precisely in this unpredictability that I recognize the truth of the process.
