About this artwork
“Ponte” is a dialogue of bodies suspended between balance and vulnerability. I created this work by allowing the color to move freely, without controlling its final path—each drip, each overlap becomes part of an unpredictable geography. This risk is essential in my practice: the paint can open unexpected fissures, altering everything, or revealing a new harmony.
The two figures meet in a gesture that is both tension and connection. Their shapes… merge through bright, fluid chromatic layers that seem to breathe on the black background. The raised textures invite tactile exploration, a distinctive feature of my (s)Confini series, where touch becomes a way to cross the boundary between viewer and artwork.
This piece belongs to my ongoing research on the human body as a bridge—between selves, between emotions, between inner territories that ask to be rediscovered through movement, color, and contact.
