Two bodies intertwine in a collected gesture, as if seeking shelter in each other. The figures, fused in a hunched, restraining posture, evoke the primal need for protection, for a place where one can bend without breaking.
The materiality of the surfaces, brought to life by acrylic drippings and tactile edges, amplifies the emotional tension of the work, offering a sensitive experience.
The colors, intense yet fragmented, speak of wounds and healing,… of instability and strength. The white surrounding the composition preserves the space of silence, of deep listening.
"Refuge" is the body that becomes home, threshold and frontier, an intimate space in which to welcome oneself and others.
