About this artwork
The painting is made using the traditional technique of egg tempera, a method that has a long artistic tradition and mixes pigments, linseed oil and egg. This technique, already used in medieval icon painting, gives the work a timeless quality and a touch of historical significance. Due to the complexity, the surface is very plastic. The incorporated diaphragm dust/gemstone with high light refraction gives the work a high level of liveliness.
