About this artwork
The picture, painted in oil with incorporated corundum and diaspora, shows networks of relationships created in a multi-layered painting process. Unreal spaces are created in which abstract figures float and meet each other. If you look into the details, new beings always emerge. The painting is open and allows the viewer many possibilities for interpretation. But you can also view the work simply as an abstract color fugue.
The surface is very… lively due to the incorporated gemstone dust (diaspora) with high light refraction. The content is a new interpretation of an old fairy tale. The work is delivered with a black shadow gap frame.
« Diving into shaky, pulsating textures, densities and clearings, delicate networks and intense color conglomerates. »
Erika Seywald is a painter and draftsman based in Austria whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Germany, and Bulgaria. She describes her art as growing out of a creative metamorphosis of shapes, colors, lines, points, and surfaces. Seywald's distinctive artistic techniques create pictures with figural forms, with echoes of nature, landscapes, and abstract designs.
