About this artwork
The ability to perceive a unique space-time determines what I see and how I express it. Seeing is not just about what is in front of you; it changes depending on how and what you choose to see. When we observe objects, we selectively receive information that conforms to the forms of time and space. This means we do not see the external world as it is, but rather, we analyze and perceive only its surface, constructing it subjectively.
In fact, Eastern… art acknowledges the constant interplay between phenomenon and subjectivity, reflecting and transforming each other. Thus, my work can be seen as a continuous reflection of my innate wildness and the intellect I’ve acquired through life, revealing itself in the process.
« I tell my own story while expressing the passion and energy melted in myself and the Korean identity through colors, composition, and materials. »
