About this artwork
My painting depicts a seascape full of dramatic color contrasts. The sky shifts from a deep, fiery red on the left to a cooler blue on the right, with swirling clouds and brushstrokes suggesting movement. Beneath the dynamic sky is a vibrant blue sea, its waves depicted in heavy, textured blues and whites. At the intersection of sky and sea stands a white lighthouse, joined by a red-topped outpost, alluding to a sailor's beacon. Below, darker tones… and vertical elements are reflections of the water's surface, the shadows creating the impression of the undulating surface of the twilight sea.
The painting is on display in Barcelona.
Until 2020, I was an economics teacher, then I retired and decided to do what interests me the most – painting. I started learning different painting techniques in optional painting schools. From whom I learned the most: Kálmán Gasztonyi, János Sebestyén, Bea Erdős, Zoltán Székács, Zoltán Suhaj, Zsuzsa Erdélyi. I primarily use oil paint because of its vibrant colors and ability to express deeper emotions. I especially focus on the rich shades of orange, red, yellow, purple and green. I have participated in more and more solo and group exhibitions: in Austria, the Czech Republic, Spain and of course Hungary. The feedback from the visitors to the exhibitions has strengthened my style to develop and continue it. Through my works, I strive to invite viewers into a world where colors, emotions and spirituality meet, revealing new dimensions of perception and feeling.
