The Beginning is a deeply textural exploration of origins and primal energy. I created this piece as a contemplation on the very first moment light emerges from chaos. I worked heavily with composition gold leaf, focusing on creating a deeply distressed and aged border that shifts from dark coppers and bronze into rich, oxidized patinas.
