The artwork is from a "Faces" series - a series of expressive and abstract paintings showing faces at different times (day, year) and belonging… to different types of characters. The series is characterised by the expressiveness of the lines and the intensity of the colours, which are accentuated by a metallic finish. In individual artworks the author analyses the expression of the human face, the wide range of its expression, sometimes rubbing against symbolism and even surrealism.

Ewa Dura - an artist with a wide range of interests. She draws her artistic inspiration from a rich tapestry of cultural and traditional sources, including myths and local folklore.
She boldly uses vivid, strong, even metallic colours, ornaments and decorations to emphasize selected elements and create her artistic masterpieces. She also appreciates contrasts, especially minimalism in black and white, where colour appears sporadically as a counterpoint.
Ewa Dura has a degree in Cultural Studies and a PhD in Literary Studies. In 2018, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. In her artistic journeys, she confidently pursues solutions in unlimited creative imagination and imaginary space.
Ewa Dura is an individual and somewhat mysterious artist whose cultural and literary education and studies are translated into atmospheric paintings and illustrations.
