About this artwork
Two plane trees
The drawing was made on grey paper with a black coloured pencil and a fountain pen - fineliner. The decorative colour is white. The drawing in the foreground is more expressive with sharper contours, often drawn with a fineliner. The bark of plane tree trunks is characteristic, with asymmetrical spots of different sizes drawn with a coloured pencil and "highlighted" with white pastel. Somewhere further back there is a second tree,… which, like the shadow of the main tree, is drawn very delicately and does not compete with the foreground tree.
The lower edge of the picture is completed by expressive white grass.
