Inspired in a feral colony living in the historic old cactus garden in Balboa Park, Downtown, San Diego, California. The curious cats are found in this area of the park roaming around the cactus, agave prickly pears and Protea plants. The historic Old Cactus was developed by Kate Sessions for the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition. Kate was a botanist and landscape architect better known as the "Mother of Balboa Park. She brought many… exotic plants and trees growing all around San Diego. The cats in the image are all taken from main characters in the colony, but In the center of the image there is Siamese cat which is a fictional. Ezra created this inspired on his own domestic cat.
