About this artwork
“People Are Strange (Homage)” è un’opera che nasce come tributo ai Doors e al loro celebre brano del 1967. Il volto enigmatico che domina la scena si trasforma sotto l’effetto della luce: spento, rivela texture materiche e pennellate cromatiche; acceso, si accende di un bagliore dato dai led multicolor che ne stravolge i tratti e ne amplifica l’intensità.
Come nella canzone, anche qui la percezione cambia: ciò che sembra familiare diventa improvvisamente… estraneo, lo sguardo si fa psichedelico, la bellezza assume una dimensione inquieta e straniante. È un’opera sulla dualità dell’essere, sull’identità che muta a seconda del contesto e sul fascino della diversità.
