About this artwork
Enjoy a Pop Life" 100x100 cm, oil, acrylics and spray on canvas. The work is an invitation to enjoy a Pop life, a sort of carpe diem Pop. On one side the bunny from the "inflatables" sculpture series by Jeff Koons (Bunny and flowers). In classical symbolism, the rabbit represents luck and female fertility. In the sense represented by Koons it is a symbol of life (the inflated puppet) and a symbol of death (the deflated puppet). these inflatables… are placed on stage, they continue to radiate that optimism of the inflated self. When you take a deep breath, it's a symbol of life and optimism, and when you take your last breath, that last exhale is a symbol of death. If you see an inflatable deflated, it's a symbol of death. These are the opposite". The transience of life is also represented by Marylin, an icon of eternal beauty, but who died at a young age. The painting is an invitation to enjoy life in the fullness of beauty and life
Fabrizio Ceccarelli, an artist of the Italian pop neo-figurativism, expresses himself through a mix of techniques that include acrylic, oil, spray and airbrush. His style is a successful fusion between the aesthetics of pop art and the dynamism and irony of street art, creating bright, fluorescent, and vibrant contemporary works, where each figure is drawn and painted by hand without the use of printing or digital techniques. He mixes elements of cinema, fashion, and comics to explore themes such as power, love, ecology, and violence. He gives his works a penetrating irony, revealing hidden meanings behind the mirror of a pleasant aesthetic.
