About this artwork
“The world is quiet here.” ― Lemony Snicket
When I was a child I was always on the search for a "secret place". To me, a small clearing in the trees or an opening along an especially dense path could easily become a whole other world.....my world. In this piece painted from my imagination, I tried to convey the sense of security and refuge that I felt in my little fortresses.
Secluded is an 18X24" oil on canvas that will arrive with the sides… painted white and ready to hang as is. As with all of my paintings, a final coat of varnish is applied after the piece has dried to enhance and protect the piece.
