About this artwork
In this painting we can see Albert Divo, Racing at the mithical "Targa Florio" race that took place in Sicily during 1928. Felipe wanted to recreate the atmosphere of the astonishing but rought terrain of the Palermo region. The Targa Florio was a very difficult and dangerous race. It demanded great skills and endurance only to be able to cross the finish line. To win, the driver had to be almost superhuman.
