About this artwork
With this piece I sought to capture the vibrant essence of a regatta, the competition and the movement. I used acrylic to bring the boats to life and reflect their struggle against the elements. It is a tribute to the human spirit and its relationship with the sea. This piece will add a sense of dynamism and passion to any space, evoking the freedom of wind and water.
« I want to develop my own identity traces, know its limits, apprehend, and improve to overcome them. Only then can I continue to advance in my works. »
Fernando Arribillaga Martínez is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, in Italy, France, and the United States. Through his distinctive urban landscapes, he endeavours to capture the ephemeral, the memory of a place, as well as its movement and the sensations that it transmits to him. Martínez's figurative style is translated through acrylics, oils, and enamel on canvas or wood.
