About this artwork
"In creating this work, I sought to explore the overlapping spaces between the visible and the invisible". Each stroke and color choice exudes emotion, creating a tapestry of abstract forms that evokes mystery and intrigue. This piece seeks to generate a vibrant dialogue in any space, transforming everyday environments into extraordinary experiences filled with color and depth. The work evokes the complexity of perception, inviting the viewer to… immerse themselves in their imagination and discover what lies beyond the visible. The composition is filled with abstract figures evoking cells, bubbles, and microscopic organisms, outlined with black contours that contrast with earthy tones, deep blues, soft pinks, and touches of red and yellow. Movement and fluidity are perceived, as if we are observing a microscopic world in constant transformation. Fernando Jaramillo is a global artist with highly valued artworks in private collections around the world.
Fernando Jaramillo is a Colombian contemporary painter whose work explores imagined inner landscapes through abstraction and color. His paintings suggest emotional territories where memory, joy, freedom, and human presence subtly emerge. Blending abstraction with delicate figurative allusions, Jaramillo constructs layered compositions that evoke places, atmospheres, and shifting states of being. His use of intuitive gesture and carefully balanced color creates rhythmic visual structures that feel both expansive and intimate. Rooted in process and sensitivity, his practice invites the viewer into a contemplative encounter with painting—one that opens space for reflection, emotion, and personal interpretation. Fernando Jaramillo received the Colombia’s National Creation Grant (Ministerio de Cultura), and his work has been selected in publications by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank Group ecosystem. In 2022, he signed a contract with Singulart in the Top Seller Artists Program.
