About this artwork
In this series, which I call Rupture, the works represent a conjunction between my role as a visual artist and the precision of the act of creation. It brings together works that arise from a strong desire to work on a large scale. The result, which does not always correspond to what was initially imagined, deeply pleases me, as it evokes a sense of static landscapes. It is as if the world had stopped for a few moments, translating a pause, a suspension…
in time and space.
Rupture series brings together a group of paintings that explore the landscape as a field of transformation, where matter, atmosphere, and memory continuously reorganize themselves. Rather than representing specific places, the works investigate states of landscape — moments in which the visible becomes unstable and the image emerges between presence and dissolution.
Throughout the series, painting constructs a trajectory that moves through tension, affirmation, origin, and revelation.
