About this artwork
'Between Hello and Farewell' is an introspective abstract painting built around a deep, immersive blue palette. The colour is not merely chromatic but emotional, creating a sense of depth and suspension, as if the surface holds its breath. Within this field, subtle variations and textures suggest movement, memory and the passage of time rather than a fixed moment.
Conceptually, the work reflects on the space between a “hello” and a “farewell” — a… space that is profoundly relative and deeply human. Sometimes it lasts only minutes yet changes us forever; sometimes it stretches across an entire life. A thin, irregular line runs through the composition, symbolising this gap: narrow or wide depending on perception, experience and emotional weight. The painting carries gratitude for every beginning and, just as meaningfully, for every ending — acknowledging how both shape who we become.
