About this artwork
The terracotta amphoras are ready to receive the juice for vinification. And they will remain standing, valiant for several months to make us a quality wine.
The work is mixed, the background is made with wax and pigments on a collage of tissue paper. The amphorae in acrylic saturated with pigments which melts a rough grain perfectly in harmony with the terracotta.

Florence Maraine Bertrand is a French painter whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationwide. Living near the Mediterranean, she is inspired to create from the sea views and vineyards that surround her. Florence appreciates the spontaneity inherent in acrylic painting techniques. She blends collage and pigments, working primarily with a palette knife for the strength of her lines, the richness of the paint, and the breadth of color.
