About this artwork
This is the story of a meeting ...
First we greet each other. We talk to each other kindly then we move forward, a little, a little more, sometimes a little too much. We dare, we don't dare, we try to move away, we hesitate and we come back.
We can even get angry. A little.
And then we let go, we listen to flattering speeches, we accept the connections, not too close then closer and we abandon ourselves to the speeches and gestures of the other… until total abandonment, to end in apotheosis , stars in their eyes, hearts united - forever - of course…
Of course this is not Roland Barthes. Would he have liked?
The modular sculpture that you have there, at your disposal to modify it as you wish, is made of epoxy lacquered steel. It measures approximately 58 cm in height and 50 cm in maximum width. It weighs 1400 g.

« "With the modularity of my sculptures, the spectator/collector is no longer just "looking". They become actors. I wrote the score, they become my interpreters." »
Jean Paul Boyer’s sculptures have been exhibited throughout his native France, Europe and China. Boyer continuously questions how to work with the air, or the “void”, that surrounds the material of the sculpture. He denies having a style, and allows himself the freedom to delve into all interpretations and techniques. His process starts by fabricating a model with any material he happens to have on hand, then the works evolve using wood, metal, marble, cardboard, etc.
