About this artwork
The inspiration for this painting came from childhood memories, a mural depicting a scene from the fairy tale "Star Money" painted by my father. It accompanied me throughout my childhood, comforting me when I was sad and inviting me to dream.
This is the origin of my blonde girl figure "the swinging girl," which represents lightness and freedom in my paintings.
Surreal worlds between poetry and mysticism With her unique visual language, the Babenhausen-based artist Franca Ze is one of the new voices of surrealism. Her paintings are characterized by intense emotional depth and expressiveness and have the ability to touch and captivate the viewer in a special way. Her unusual use of color and space, her symbolism, and the loving, sometimes very detailed elaboration of her works are the cornerstones of her painting style. The expressiveness and depth of each painting are crucial for the artist, who primarily deals with philosophical, psychological and social themes.
In her series of paintings “WeibsBild,” launched in 2022, she shows her humorous, quirky side as a painter with great warmth.
