About this artwork
Cities are presented as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, urban landscapes with a high daily value, their people, their streets, their buildings, and of course the light of the Mediterranean that floods Valencia and closely represents its cosmopolitan and traditional character. Oil, canvas and realism merge to create a figurative and hyper-realistic atmosphere.
« By painting, I am nothing...a vibrant void that fills everything. »
Francesc Marco is an artist whose paintings have appeared in numerous solo exhibitions nationwide. His most recent works are inspired by Mediterranean art and classical sculpture, which he uses as a key reference in his Valencian silk collages. In addition, Francesc's distinctive urban landscapes incorporate figurative elements, reflecting the daily life and culture of his city. He also finds motifs in nature in which to express himself as an artist, such as floral details and landscapes whose common point is to offer the viewer a living nature. Finally, always extremely faithful to reality, his portraits are detailed, thus demonstrating his versatility in the pictorial arts.
