About this artwork
The piece is part of the series The children and their imaginary friends. This… project pays homage to the innocence and bravery of childhood that persists in adults, though often hidden. For the artist, art is a tool for exploration and catharsis, allowing self-knowledge for both the creator and the viewer, connecting them through the piece.

« The stories of each character, isolated in an intimate and personal dimension, are reflections on human values, perceptions and emotions. »
Francesca Dalla Benetta is an Italian sculptor based in Mexico. After 10 years working as a makeup artist in the film industry, Dalla Benetta is now a dedicated full-time artist. Her work is characterized by anatomies and mixed forms. Faces and human bodies are combined with different textures, skins and elements, giving rise to hybrid and fantastic beings. Through unusual, strange and surreal bodies, her pieces focus on the problems of transformation, identity, the sense of belonging, self-perception and dreams.
