This work depicts a metropolis in a state of tension and transformation, a place where the city seems to be consuming itself from within. The architecture, reduced to fragmented vertical masses, frames a central street that leads toward an intense, almost blinding light.
The urban route becomes a metaphor for crossing: a journey through chaos, decay, and the possibility of rebirth. The warm, contrasting colors—reds, oranges, and yellows—evoke warmth,… conflict, and residual vitality, while the pictorial material accentuates the idea of a city alive yet worn by time.
The work invites the viewer to question the relationship between the individual and the urban environment, between destruction and hope.
