About this artwork
Indian ink with only one or more pigeon feathers as a tool. My texts tell a story and are inseparable from the painting.
The season folds its parasols and pushes the sun out. The last occupants of a sandbox fold their towels and gather the scattered children to begin migrating to their winter nest, casting one last glance at the kelp pulsing beneath a dying wave. It's time to return to everyday reality and forget your mermaid-like gait to go get… an ice cream while casually pacing the seawall.
It will be better next year, they promise themselves. We, too, are looking forward to the next one.
