About this artwork
This is an outstanding set of etchings by the renowned Cuban artist, Ramon Alejandro. Typical of his early work, he has employed machines or mechanical creations. It is pencil signed and numbered e/a from an artist proof edition of only 5. These prints measures about 14" x 10" (35 x 25cm). This work was done while Alejandro was living in Paris.
Published by L'Atelier Champfleury, and printed by Las Cahiers des Brisants Editeur, in Paris in 1987.… We guarantee the authenticity of this print, and will offer a certificate of authenticity on our gallery letterhead. This print is in mint condition, and is unframed.
Francisco Zúñiga, a Costa Rican-born Mexican maestro, excelled as a painter and sculptor with deep cultural roots. He wielded chisel and brush to craft the contours of indigenous dignity and maternal strength, blending raw realism with a lyrical style that echoes Mexican modernism. His sculptures, in particular, resonate with a potent empathy, capturing the quiet resilience and silent narratives of his subjects in stone and bronze.
