About this artwork
The work represents the fusion of intense and contrasting emotions. I took on acrylics and oils, tempera, enamels and chalks, integrating sand and pigments, even tar, to infuse life and texture. It is semi-abstract, with the explosion of expressionism and symbols that transcend the real, touching the metaphysical. The bright colors and shapes evoke an inner journey, an emotional awakening that brings dynamic energy and passion to every space.

Franco Margari is a nationally-distinguished Italian artist whose works have featured in national exhibitions and prizes and are held in permanent public collections. Starting out in the graphic field in the 1980s before moving onto painting in the 90s, he today composes unique works that juggle styles and mediums and showcase inventive takes on space, light and perspective. His themes include human contemporary thought, prejudices and hypocrisies.
