Franksy Zabel, born in 1976 in Hamm, Westphalia, studied in Münster and initially pursued a career as a master carpenter with his own business. It hit him hard. The loss of his 15-year-old son to leukemia abruptly changed his life and his view of the world. He began to He decided to become a self-employed artist and traveled to Hamburg with his camera and minimal luggage, where he followed his innate calling and took his first photographs of the Hanseatic city bathed in golden light. From then on, he continued his travels, capturing daily moments on the street, in nature, and in his surroundings. His unique photographic technique allows him to see the world as he felt it, even before he saw the finished photograph. As a musician, he has always been accompanied by his own music and that of other bands. This interplay of his travels, music, and photographs has also resulted in videos, which can be viewed alongside his images on his website.
