I was a naturalist, who graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of Forestry, Department of Forest Ecology at the university and graduate school. I used to take a walk in the village forest and seaside near my city, nature areas since my childhood. I’m familiar with plants, wild birds, and some natural objects. After retirement from a high school teacher. I started making print works, the copper engraving, and then I imagined making the connection… the nature photographs and the print work with a personal computer. It took 10 years to complete my art style, the plant series.
I like to use some natural materials for my print work, such as 100% cotton print paper, plant dying handcraft paper on the background of trees and branches silhouettes. Therefore my art works give some kind of a natural taste and an atmosphere of traditional Japanese woodblock printworks.
