About this artwork
This work is a composition of several layers of dark green glaze, one on top of the other, as well as several opaque, contrasting applications of color. The incorporated metal leaf with its shimmering gold accents creates a special charm against this backdrop. The painting is reminiscent of a landscape lying golden in front of you in the night, which is also what gives it its title.
I only use high-quality professional artist paint. The painting… is also given a satin-gloss varnish to protect it against environmental influences. My signature is on the back.
The painting is framed with an antique gold-colored shadow gap frame, which picks up the gold tone within the picture and further underlines the noble character of the work.
The frame has a hook on the back. The external dimensions including the frame are: 104.5 x 84.5 x 3.8 cm.

Gabi Ehmann is an expressive-abstract artist who works primarily with acrylic paints. In some works she also uses filler, metal leaf, pigments, collage elements, oil pastels or ink. Her techniques vary from glazing to pasty, often created using a variety of tools such as shower squeegees, spatulas and sponges. Her passionate works are often reminiscent of landscapes and bodies of water and evoke vivid associations.
