About this artwork
The piece seems not to want to define the space. An "in-definition" where glows and some brightness seem to mysteriously emerge from a distant darkness.
The earthy aspect and the almost complete absence of color take us to an imaginary, unknown and primitive space such as the African continent (to which the title of the painting freely and symbolically refers) 300,000 years ago; Homo sapiens arose there, which later spread throughout the world.…
Exploring other dimensions is an implicit act in all creation and painting is a constant re-creation of itself.

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
