This diptych proposes a dialogue between two formally different pieces. “… Abstraction marked by light and limits, with a refined technique that mixes precision with chance.
The colors blend into each other creating perfect fades, chromatic variations with light properties that invite us to enter dreamlike, fleeting, almost spatial landscapes.
For G.Fettolini, painting is like a perpetual movement, an infinite becoming, a metaphor for human nature,… which is not based on inspiration but on a discomfort that generates reflections, ideas and emotions that are reflected on the canvas.
Thus, his works allow us to see the precision of the brush, the chromatic combination that, from a distance, almost seems like an abstraction created by computer and, at the same time, the freedom of the paint spilled through the painting.
In his process he seeks to provoke his paintings, turning them over, changing their meaning, to achieve surprise ”.
