About this artwork
The “Echoes” (title of the work) make us perceive space-time in a broader way; they sharpen and challenge our ears that try to capture the distant and the unknown.
The monochrome-gold tone box (symbol of deities and knowledge) has a lumpy appearance; the golden color mixes with the material-painting, it does not shine and invites the touch.
Craters emerge from this earthy magma as if to let the echo resonate.
The painting as a metaphor of an instrument… that vibrates; a sounding board that invites us to listen instead of just trying to see or decipher its meaning.
Traces appear, signs of a writing that petrifies composing a landscape-painting in which infinite possibilities and nuances play and where the imaginary takes shape.
Exploring other dimensions is an implicit act in all creation and painting is a constant re-creation of itself; the appearance of the "beyond" surely has an infinite form, each expression is a testimony of it.

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
