About this artwork
This abstract and simple geometry painting plays and confronts light and shadow. A "golden" and transparent glaze, yellowish-red in color, covers and marks, as if it were a thin curtain, the thin border that separates it from the dark and almost black area, which tends to overflow.
But the painting also hides a certain ambiguity; the almost black allows a zone of light to appear at the top, as if it were a reflection, and the golden glaze (due to… its "filtered" appearance) seems to contain the light but does not really shine.
