About this artwork
A circular movement marks this work painted on a paper glued then carefully on canvas. (marouflage)
The circle is painted with a very wide brush that, rotating around it, blurs the pigments creating an effect of volume. During the rotating process, the excess paint settles on the margins of the circumference, generating a "halo" around it that is partly erased by the intervention of water.
(This piece is an element of an extensive series of circles… of identical size and of similar realization; each one can go alone or combined with others. In Singular I propose these pieces individually and I add some photos of assemblies of the whole. request more photos of the series.)

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
