About this artwork
This diptych juxtaposes two grayish, ethereal and almost transparent surfaces with a more organic-oxidized orange one that also includes a rectangular wooden intervention (collage) in the lower part to the right.
A vertical and straight separation marks a border and introduces a certain volume at the same time that it opens a dialogue between the two parties.
(The painting was exhibited at the Chrämerhuus in Langenthal_Suiza and at the Carzaniga… gallery in Basel)

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
