About this artwork
Diptych composed of two square pieces fixed together by two screws so easy to hang.
The piece leaves all the prominence to the radiation of light that seems to emerge from between the horizontal bands that almost completely cover the canvas. The composition, essentially black-white, is reduced to the essential, stripped of excess elements and intentionally minimalist.
The famous quote "less is more", attributed to the modern architect Mies Van… der Rohe, fits this work well.
(This piece also has the option of being hung vertically as can be seen in one of the photos)

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
