About this artwork
Geometric and monochrome composition between two pieces of different size. The muted color recalls the "fresco technique" but in this case the paint is applied with a certain thickness that gives the whole a certain roughness. Its meditative aspect invites introspection. The simplicity of the composition is framed by a clear line-band that encloses and opens spaces.
The two pictures that make up the piece are not fixed to each other, they are only… just-put at the moment of being hung.
Even though it is a unique piece, this greenish diptych was conceived in parallel with another of the same size with a blue hue and also has a slight change in composition.
(Please ask if you want the acquisition of the two diptychs together; a substantial price reduction will be applied).

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
