About this artwork
Here is one of the two pairs of diamonds that I present.
The rhombus, in its original form, is composed only of diagonals. The absence of verticals and horizontals that make up the usual rectangular or square frame, in which an image is usually placed, leads us to reflect on the intrinsic attractiveness of the rhomboidal shape and its complexity.
/ Apparently the rhombus represents the vulva and, consequently, the matrix of life. By extension… it also means the door of the underground worlds, the initiatory passage to the womb of the world /
(I also point out that the measures of the box in its square shape measures 100x100cm but put in a diamond it rises to 142x142cm)

« Creating is leaving a visible "trail" where concerns and desires converge. The painting is the frame that allows me to give it visibility. »
Established Swiss artist Gabriele Fettolini's striking artworks do not ask questions or tell stories, instead they are rhythmic and expressive representations of the balance of life. The dualism between the body and mind, reality and aspirations, the weight of matter and the transcendence of spirit.
Producing his abstract pieces in a spontaneous environment gives Gabriele the freedom to make each piece truly unique, building and eroding layers his artworks are richly textured and beautifully colored. Each canvas is full of juxtapositions, emptiness and luminosity, beauty and tragedy, ephemeral and transitory the viewer is free to make up their own mind.
Gabriele has exhibited his artwork extensively throughout Europe, his pieces are held in numerous permanent collections.
