Here I have depicted the rising gaze towards the majestic crown of an ancient date palm. The rhythmic, centrifugal structure of the leaves rests upon the antique-style column of the old trunk. They spread across the canvas, piercing the glowing clouds of ripe dates. Richly modulated greens in the leaves contrast with the fiery oranges of the dates and the red of the palm trunk, gently embedded in the pale blue of the sparsely emerging summer sky.…
