About this artwork
Inspired by those great artists, at a certain point in time, you're drawn to do a self portrait ...
For me it happened one evening when I felt this urge and voilà ...this is the result ...
The texture of the paper this is drawn on, is a carboard-like light brownish one.
Also, the paper has some concentrated fixation dots on it which happened while doing the fixation of the drawing. One might not like it, but I think it adds to the overall atmosphere.…
Possible interpretations could be: a) connecting the dots, 2) piercing through the imperfections, 3) keep focusing even when the surrounding gets blurry, 4) seeing beyond, 5) aiming for perfection, 6) keeping you eyes on the result, 7) looking beyond, etc.
